Beastman expands his wings

Over the years, I’ve delighted in watching Brad Eastman’s artistic journey across walls, on canvas and photos.

Sydney’s very own Beastman has gone from commissioning street art on Arnold Lane and spicing up Oxford Art Factory walls to collaborating with vodka big shots, Smirnoff.

I recently attended the media preview where he unveiled his limited edition red label pack designs at the Smirnoff Pure Start Gallery in Surry Hills, along with artist Nanami Cowdroy. Public visitors were invited to make and have their own designs displayed.

Brad’s always pleasant to chat to. He revealed that a graffiti wall could take anywhere from an hour to six hours, where as canvas can occupy a week.

Overall, I admire Beastman’s all-around approach to art; whether it’s street or commercial, he can nail it with sincerity. I’m also a supporter of Smirnoff and all the good things they continue to provide to communities around the world. Watch Beastman behind the scenes in action.
